In February of 2022, the Virginia Court Reporters Foundation became official. 

Since 2017, Virginia Court Reporters Association had been having meetings with attorneys, NCRA, and accountants to figure out a way to establish a foundation to bring in tax-deductible donations.  These donations can only be used for educational purposes, such as conventions, putting on webinars for lawyers to educate them about making the best record possible, and the court reporting student scholarship, Carolyn O’Connor Education Fund (COEF), to name a few.   Other organizations can ask VCRF for assistance with their educational endeavors also!
